About Gas First

Gas First Ltd is a Gas Safe registered gas, boiler and heating company founded by J. Ahmed in 2016, serving East London from two operational bases. We are registered in England and Wales (Companies House: 08110842; registered office: 145a Green Street, London E7 8JE) and hold Gas Safe registration number 587401. From boiler repairs and servicing to new installations, landlord gas safety certificates and emergency call-outs, we cover the full range of domestic gas and heating work across East London. The business is run by its founder, Gas Safe registered engineer J. Ahmed, who works on jobs personally.

Two local bases — one company

We operate from two bases so we can respond quickly across the whole of East London without handing jobs to subcontractors. Our Bow base at 290 Devons Road (E3 3PN) serves Bow, Stratford, Isle of Dogs, Canary Wharf, East Ham and Ilford. Our Dagenham base on Review Road (RM10) serves Dagenham, Barking, Rainham, Elm Park, Hornchurch, Upminster and Romford. When you call Gas First, a local engineer from the nearest base takes the job.

Gas Safe registered and fully insured

Every gas appliance we work on is handled by a Gas Safe registered engineer. Our registration number is 587401 — you can verify this at any time on the Gas Safe Register website. Gas Safe registration is a legal requirement for all gas work in the UK, not a voluntary accreditation. We are also fully insured for all work we carry out.

Manufacturer-approved — extended warranty available

Gas First is registered as an approved installer with three leading boiler manufacturers:

• Baxi Works — approved Baxi installer
• Vaillant Advance — approved Vaillant installer
• Glow-worm Club Energy — approved Glow-worm installer

Being on these manufacturer schemes means our engineers receive direct manufacturer training and have access to technical support. More importantly for you: when Gas First installs a new boiler from one of these brands and registers it on your behalf, you become eligible for an extended manufacturer warranty — considerably longer than the standard warranty period. This is a direct benefit of using an approved installer and costs you nothing extra.

What we do

We cover the full range of domestic gas and heating work: boiler repair, servicing and installation, power flushing, radiator installation and repair, gas leak detection, gas cooker installation, landlord gas safety certificates (CP12) and emergency cover. We also handle general plumbing — leaks, blocked drains, repairs and installations — so you have one trusted local team for both gas and water.
